Making Space Making Space is a contemporary research-based art space that is located on the southern banks of Guangzhou. It was established in 2017 by artist You Piao and now co-run with Xu Binghuang. Through artistic practice, this artist-curator run space wants to present rural-urban structure and issues, and take individuals as an era characteristic, with an emphasis on collaboration and accompaniment. By collaborating in the form of transdisciplinary, their work via artwork archives, publications, zines, workshops, exhibitions, residency and interventions by artists and institutions in multiple places to promote change.

Founded in 2017, Making Space is located in Panyu, Guangzhou, near a neighborhood that has been going through a major transformation. Making Space opens to all who have the desire to express in an honest and concrete way, and wants to extend the boundaries of perception and knowledge via conversation and collaboration.
